Golden Horse Awards 2026: Indie Darling 'Taipei Nights' Leads with 8 Nods

The Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival Executive Committee has announced the nominees for the 2026 Golden Horse Awards. Leading the pack is the low-budget independent drama 'Taipei Nights', which secured eight nominations including Best Feature Film and Best Director.

The film, which captures a single night in the lives of three disparate strangers in Taiwan's capital, has been praised for its raw authenticity and neo-noir aesthetics. It will face stiff competition from Mainland Chinese epic 'The River's Edge' and Hong Kong action thriller 'Undercover'. The ceremony will be held in November.
