The film "Colony," starring Jun Ji-hyun and Ji Chang-wook, is directed by Yeon Sang-ho, who still holds the record for the highest-grossing Korean film in Hong Kong history with "Train to Busan." Since its release in South Korea, "Colony" has been a constant talking point, and its Hong Kong box office has performed no less impressively, already topping HK$15 million to date. In light of this, lead actress Jun Ji-hyun has unexpectedly announced she will travel to Hong Kong on June 29 to thank fans, with tickets going on sale at noon today (June 19).
The film's distributor, Edko Films, made the surprise announcement on social media last night (June 18) that lead actress Jun Ji-hyun will attend a fan appreciation event in Hong Kong on June 29. Tickets go on pre-sale at noon today, the Dragon Boat Festival. Fans are advised to mark the time carefully — the question won't be how long they'll have to wait to get onto the webpage, but rather how many minutes it will take for all the tickets to sell out.
During the film's promotional run in South Korea, Jun Ji-hyun made appearances in a fitted dark gray top with a cropped jacket, showing off a stunning slim waist with visible abs and well-defined muscle lines. Her toned, alluring figure not only drew screams from those present, but also sent netizens into a near-frenzy once the footage circulated online.
"Colony" is directed by Yeon Sang-ho — the acclaimed filmmaker behind "Train to Busan," the highest-grossing Korean film in Hong Kong history — and stars Jun Ji-hyun, Ryu Kyung-soo, Ji Chang-wook and Shin Hyun-been. This marks Jun Ji-hyun's return to the big screen after an 11-year absence, and the film recently screened in the Midnight Screenings section at the Cannes Film Festival. Its Hong Kong box office has now broken the HK$15 million mark.
