'Sons of the Neon Night' Chosen as Hong Kong's Entry for Best International Feature at the 99th Oscars
Juno Mak's star-studded film "Sons of the Neon Night" has been selected to represent Hong Kong in the Best International Feature category at the 99th Academy Awards.

Following the selection criteria for the Academy Award for Best International Feature, "Sons of the Neon Night" has been chosen to represent Hong Kong in the race for Best International Feature at the 99th Academy Awards. The film is directed by Juno Mak and produced by Juno Mak and Xuan Jiazhen, with a lead cast that includes Takeshi Kaneshiro, Lau Ching-wan, Tony Leung Ka-fai, Louis Koo and Gao Yuanyuan.
For this selection, the Hong Kong review committee for the Academy Award for Best International Feature considered all Hong Kong films released between October 2025 and September 2026. Among them, "Sons of the Neon Night" won the majority of votes to be nominated as Hong Kong's representative in the race for Best International Feature at the 99th Oscars.
