Yuen Woo-ping Receives Golden Mulberry Lifetime Achievement Award at Udine Far East Film Festival
Veteran Hong Kong director and renowned action choreographer Yuen Woo-ping was honored with the Golden Mulberry Lifetime Achievement Award at Italy's Udine Far East Film Festival, with Hong Kong cultural and film industry officials on hand to offer their congratulations.

Mak Sing-hei, Assistant Commissioner for Cultural and Creative Industries and Secretary-General of the Hong Kong Film Development Council, and Wilfred Wong, Chairman of the Hong Kong Film Development Council, attended the closing ceremony of the 28th Udine Far East Film Festival in Italy to personally congratulate veteran Hong Kong director and celebrated action choreographer Yuen Woo-ping on winning the Golden Mulberry Lifetime Achievement Award, thanking him for his profound contributions to Hong Kong and global action cinema. In addition, Hong Kong directors Kwok Ka-hei and Lee Chun-kit won the White Mulberry Award for Best First Work for "UFO Mystery Case."
The Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency under the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, together with the Hong Kong Film Development Council, led an industry delegation to the Udine Far East Film Festival in Italy, held from April 24 to May 2. On April 29, they co-hosted a Hong Kong Night with the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Brussels. The agency and the Hong Kong Film Development Council also organized the "Waves of Light and Shadow: New Momentum of Hong Kong Cinema" screening event, presenting Hong Kong's latest and classic works, and invited several emerging Hong Kong directors to attend post-screening discussions and engage with local audiences in person.
The agency and the Hong Kong Film Development Council continued their collaboration with the festival's official program FOCUS ASIA to host HONG KONG LAB@FOCUS ASIA, inviting seasoned international film industry professionals from various roles to share their experience in co-production, cross-border financing and international distribution with promising Hong Kong producers and directors. The event also featured business matching sessions to help Hong Kong filmmakers find international partners for collaboration.
